My son enjoyed the interactive learning and the warmth atmosphere in Science Workshop for almost two years. He showed his scientific mind explicitly. Especially thanks for the staff cared the little tots in the Field Trip to the Theme Park in August. My son was first time to leave us and went outside independently. Now, my son started his school with confidence after the trip remarkably.

My 12- and 13-year-old children have been going to Science Workshop since 2003. We originally wanted our children to have more practical science-related activities, and luckily they really liked it. Through the activities, my children are more motivated to learn and more curious about things around them. My children have learned a lot more here than their peers from their school and they are faster in picking up new science concepts at school. They've also learned how to socialize with other students and eager to participate in discussions in class.
Science Workshop has very rich teaching materials and professional facilitators. I believe in their vision and teaching methodology. They also take very good care of children and are able to ensure parents of their children's safety both inside and outside the workshops.
I am very satisfied with this place and have great confidence in the programs. Although my children are now in secondary school, I will still continue to let them study here.

My 14-year-old son has been going to the science workshop since its debut in 2000. The classes have helped build a solid foundation for him. There's only a fraction of science exposure in the school curriculum. I wanted him to have a balanced development so I enrolled him in the workshop, which he loves very much. He is now in Form Three and shows huge interest in chemistry, which I'm surprised since it's more abstract than biology and physics. I think the classes have shaped his curiosity in science. Last summer, he was a Research Assistant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Chemistry Department.

My elder daughter, who will begin university this year, started attending Science Workshop's programs soon after the workshop was opened. She gained so much in her personal growth and educational discipline. Even though my younger daughter's recent schedules do not allow her to attend the regular year-round programs, she still enrolls in the intensive holiday programs whenever she has the chance. I definitely believe that despite the apparent lack of instant quantifiable progress, the experience both my daughters had was invaluable to their intellectual growth and maturity.

My two girls joined the Science Workshop in 2007 and this is the second year of their study. As students of local schools, they are under the traditional training of memorizing and replicate exercising. However, Science Workshop has opened up a new avenue for them to develop critical and independent thinking skills through observations and experiments. The satisfaction and fun acquired through self-participation arouse their interests in the fascinating world of science. The verification of the theory they have leant in class and what they observe everyday has even become just motivations for them to explore more. That is why my younger one always says “l want to be a scientist in future!"

My son Aaron has been going to Science Workshop since he was six years old. The science and math cusses have not only made him love to learn, but he is getting good grades in his class for math, science and even other subjects. For the last few years when he took standardized tests at his school, he scored 99 percentile in science, math and English. He is very proud that he is one of the top students in his class.

Studying in an elite local school, my twin daughters are disciplined and hard working. They found Science Workshop offer a liberated way of learning. They now think more, question more and become more a lateral thinker. I see that they have also become more creative in handling their school projects. Their school teachers have given them great compliments on their work just before summer. I think Science Workshop make a big contribution to this.

I am a professor at a local university. I believe science is a way and habit of thinking and attitude toward understanding and acquiring knowledge. My son is 11 years old. He is keen about going to Science Workshop because he is allowed to perform and construct his own learning there rather than it being handed to him. He is smart enough to know that there is no point in memorizing facts and studying purely for exams and tests.

Daniel found Science Workshop hard at first because he is expected to express his views and participate in discussions. We were thinking of quitting. Somehow we stay on. Now Daniel loves going to Science Workshop because in there he is free to think and to raise questions and not just listening and copying.

I am a mother with two kids, one almost five and the other almost two. I have been searching for long and it is difficult to find books and seminars that fit my need pragmatically...l was grateful to have attended the STEP course. It provided me a very precise picture of the different kinds of children's behavior, reasons for which and the techniques to deal with them in a way that would enhance my kids’ self esteem rather than ruin it.

My son has been going to Science Workshop for two years now. I want him to start young because I know the best time to grasp knowledge and to develop thinking skill is in the formative years. He is now 5 years old. He is inquisitive, asks a lot of questions and tries to find answers to questions by reading and thinking. He is very special when compared to a lot of his friends.
