| Teaching Philosophy: | ||||
| We all encounter new facts and observations every day, no matter what our age. And in this "information age," the information never stops. Children need to learn more than facts and figures. They need to learn how to critically interpret the world around them. When we have learned to use the scientific method, we can use it for more than just scientific discovery. Science is a way of thinking that can help us methodically examine everything from mathematics to physics, from literature to politics. In the classroom I work to engage students and get them actively excited about learning— Not just learning what experts already know, but learning how to learn. |
