| Hands-on Enquiry-based Activities | |
|
We conduct our classes according to Constructivism, allowing students to construct knowledge through hands-on experiences, instead of the traditional rote learning by memorization.

|
| Proprietary Curriculum | |
| One of our key success factors is the quality of our curriculum. We embrace constructivism. We design our courses and conduct our classes accordingly. Our curriculum developers and facilitators are meticulous about choosing topics and activities that are appropriate for the cognitive levels of the participating students. All the activities are locally adapted, and are revised on a continuous basis. In the eight years of operation, we have developed hundreds of topics in Science, Mathematics and Multimedia Technology for education institutions to choose from. |
|
| Content Standards | |
| We design our science curriculum by incorporating the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Benchmarks. Our mathematics curriculum is based on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Standards. |
|
| Staff Development | |
| Science Workshop®'s Education Department is headed by educators who come with a wealth of experience in professional development from primary to college levels. All our facilitators are trained continuously on a regular basis. | |
| Our Teaching Team | |
|
A good curriculum needs high caliber teachers to deliver the lessons in an interesting and lively way in order to maximize the students' interest in learning.
We are proud of our team of strong professionals who hold Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees in science, mathematics, engineering or early childhood learning. Many are certified school teachers. We adopt a stringent requirement standard when selecting our recruits. They are fluent in English, are caring and understanding, and possess a strong passion for children's education and development. |

| Easily Accessible Materials | |
| Our nine years of successful experience in running science, mathematics and multimedia technology programs at prestigious education institutions enable us to be effective and efficient in sourcing the most appropriate materials in Hong Kong. We found that early learners achieve the most effective learning by using appropriate manipulatives. When designing our curriculum, we also take into account the availability of corresponding resources and materials. The materials used in our learning activities are stimulating, yet mostly common everyday items, illustrating that science and mathematics are intertwined in our daily lives. |
