Our science curriculum is based on the AAAS Benchmarks for Science Literacy and the Science Education Standards from NRC and endorsed and adopted by NSTA. We develop our curriculum on the premise that science is an active process. Through “hands-on” activities, students learn such skills as observing, inferring, and experimenting. Our curriculum is also based on “inquiry”. Students gain “minds-on” experiences as they are encouraged to describe objects and events, ask questions, construct explanations, and communicate their ideas to others. In this way, our students can develop their understanding of science by combining scientific knowledge with reasoning and thinking skills.

"What We Are Not About!”
Our mathematics curriculum is designed according to the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project Everyday Mathematics Goals, which is based on the NCTM Standards. Our courses are designed to present abstract mathematical theories in a concrete manner, providing opportunities for children to understand the concepts through activities that are relevant to everyday life. Our mathematics classes do not focus on the mechanics of calculations, but rather, they support our students in acquiring knowledge and confidence to become active mathematics learners who can reason about and represent mathematical ideas and relationships.

Math Strategies

Get the inside scoop on how to solve problems in a exciting and hands-on manner. Not only will you be able to strengthen your core mathematics skills for US, UK and IB Programs, you will also learn how to tackle mathematical competition problems and US standardized tests such as Stanford 10, SSAT and SAT. During our classes, we will help you develop systematic methods for problem-solving rather than by mechanically practicing problems. You will be able to formulate your own strategy and shortcut for each problem. This insight into the problem will make it far easier for you to complete a problem quickly and accurately. Our instructors have extensive mathematics background. All of them have continuous mentoring and training from Dr. Feng and the team from Idea Math.

This curriculum is designed in such a way that your children will conduct fun-filled science experiments from Sciencesploration® and carry out hands-on activities from Mathsploration®. This course combines the materials into a 90-minute session, with 60 minutes devoted to science and 30 minutes for mathematics. The integration will benefit your children as they will be exposed to core ingredients of both science and mathematics with this efficient delivery.

Our early childhood learning curriculum is based on findings from the the MSEB at NRC and AAAS. Our learners will be exposed to a wide range of mathematic activities that are intertwined with science topics. They will work in a stimulating environment using interesting materials and real-life objects that will enhance their learning development. Our child-development-based learning incorporates active, hands-on, student-centered inquiry, which is at the core of good science education. Your children will learn the ideas and skills that support later, more complex mathematics understanding. They will also be exposed to activities to develop their gross and fine motor skills.

This is a program for learning through multimedia technology, bringing out the creativity in children through not just engineering principles but also arts and design. Our multimedia technology program uses graphical programming software developed at the MIT Media Lab. Graphical programming is designed for young learners to work with programming logic without the burden of programming syntax. They are developed with a focus on learning through design. Children will be able to learn structured programming as well as the principals of engineering and mechanical designs. The curriculum and accompanying programs are designed for both girls and boys in mind.

CREST Star Investigators is a UK-wide award scheme that enables students to solve scientific problems through practical investigations. It is conferred by the British Science Association. This award is highly suited for those studying in the International Baccalaureate® (IB); it aims to provide students with both a body of knowledge and an understanding of the scientific approach to problem solving. This award as an invaluable asset for students contemplating overseas studies in the future and to students who seek admissions to prestigious educational institutions, as it is a testimony of skills beyond pure academics.

Through Brainstorming, Investigation and Reflection, Project Approach allows learners to embark on in-depth studies of topics of their choice, explore various resources for learning, and construct representations of their discoveries. This program is especially suited for those entering the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Program as it reflects on the philosophy of the fundamental concepts that support and strengthen all areas of approaches in the IB curriculum.
